Not a pleasant
plan Reviewer: Bradford 03-29-2004 The fat flush is
pretty drastic, complicated and not very pleasant.

I read the
book Reviewer: Alejandra 03-11-2004 I read the book about
Fat Flushing and found it to be very unscientific. It could drive your average
person insane. But overall its a great detailed book. I recommend reading the
book twice before starting the diet for yourself

This is more than
low calorie Reviewer: Lionel 03-29-2004 Low calorie is
the least important factor here. This diet is low-allergen, and nutritient
dense. The is no sweetners, grain, or added salt on this diet. The thing that is
pushed to the limit on this diet is the veggies. If you love veggies you may
consider Fat Flushing.

Thoughts... Reviewer: Connie 03-27-2004 It appears
to be a very complicated plan, with the need to order specific supplements
from the author's company. I'm also very suspicious of any plan that claims
to "detoxify" the body or provide "liver health." All the UK ads claim
it's taken the States by storm. Huh, I never heard of it until you posted
here!! There are lots less complicated programs, but if this one suits you,
then go for it. Just realize that you don't need fancy premixed supplements
to go Low-Carb. Have you checked out other low-carb plans? If it works for
you, then go for it.

I followed fat
flush for two weeks Reviewer: Anonymous 03-29-2004 Hi! I
followed fat flush for two weeks. I did lose about 12 lbs, but I need to lose
150, lol. IMO, this is a very difficult plan. You have to measure
the cranwater, the oil, etc. You are EXTREMELY limited to what you can eat in
the first 2 weeks, and must follow it exactly! You also must have the book,
because the diet is very detailed. The fat is very limited, as well as the
meat (only 8 oz. a day). If you are very disciplined and don't mind
measuring, etc. then it may work. If you are looking for something
uncomplicated, then you might want to try something else. I stopped because
it is very expensive (the cranberry juice, flaxoil, supplements, etc, as they
don't last long). You can try the official website and read more about it on
the message board if you haven't already (www.annlouise.com)

Not truly a low
carb diet Reviewer: Sonny 03-29-2004 it's quite a
straightforward, real food diet though protein and fat are very limited while
in the later phases, the diet is primarily changed by adding carbs. It's not
truly low-carb

This diet seems
similiar to Atkins except... Reviewer:
Thanh 07-30-2004 On Atkins you are limited to what veggies you
can eat. On this diet you can eat pretty much any vegatable out there. I have
never tried this diet, I just found it interesting.

great diet
plan Reviewer: Sharon 07-30-2004 This diet is one of many
i have tried over the years. I would rank this diet (out of maybe 12) to be in
the top three. I lost 15 pounds in just a couple of months.

30-30-40
plan Reviewer: Nikki 06-12-2004 I have only measured
carbs and not calories. Maybe that's my problem. Gittleman's Fat Flush Plan
is 1100-1200 calories for Phase I (2 weeks), 1200-1500 for Phase II (ongoing
weight loss) and 1500 calories for Phase III (maintenance). It's a 30-30-40
Plan (30% protein, 30% carbohydrate, and 40% high-quality fats. This is a very
logical diet that I would recommend.

The Fat Flush
Diet Reviewer: Irene 07-16-2004 A straightforward,
real food diet though protein and fat are very limited while in the later
phases, the diet is primarily changed by adding carbs. It's not
truly low-carb. Much easier than Atkins if you ask me.

Difficult to keep
up with Reviewer: Anonymous Westport,
Connecticut 04-18-2005 I did the FFP for about 3 months, then between
moving to a different state and other personal things I dropped it. I tried
getting back on it, but it really is too complicated and expensive to keep up
with. I continue to take flax (ground and oil) and make smoothies with the whey,
but for now just try to eat right. I did lose about 7 pounds when on it, but
it's the kind of diet you need to really need to have time to shop, do the
recipes, etc. to be a success.
